Unlicensed and/or Uninspected Vehicles

Written by Laura Office on . Posted in Uncategorized

Souderton Borough Ordinances regulate the storage of unlicensed and/or uninspected vehicles. If you have a vehicle or trailer that isn’t currently licensed and/or inspected that is stored outside on your property or on a public street you are violating the Borough Ordinance. Many residents believe that they are permitted to store such a vehicle on their property or on a public street this is an incorrect understanding.

The Borough and Property Maintenance Code don’t allow vehicles or trailers of any type to be parked or stored on any residentially zoned property unless they are in a good state of repair and display current license and inspection stickers including public streets and right-of-ways. However, these vehicles may be stored in a completely enclosed building approved for such use.

If you have an unlicensed and/or uninspected vehicle parked or stored outside on your property, please either place the vehicle in your garage or have the vehicle properly inspected and licensed. Your neighbors and our staff will appreciate it. You will save yourself a fine.

Souderton, PA, December 17, 2014 –Word FM, a local, faith-based radio station, and the Souderton-Telford Rotary have partnered with Univest Foundation to establish the Stone & Flick Children Fund to assist in raising funds for the Stone daughters and for Anthony Flick, surviving children who lost their parents and siblings after the devastating tragedy in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania on Monday, December 15.

“We know that we can never put back together the pieces that these children have lost, but our hope is that as the generosity of our community members comes forth, we’ll be able to provide a little peace and comfort,” Word FM station manager, Dave Baker said.

The fund has been jump started with a $5,000 donation – $3,000 of which is from Univest Corporation, $1,000 from Word FM and $1,000 from Souderton-Telford Rotary.

“Our community has been hit hard by this unthinkable tragedy,” said Jim Leary, chief of police for Souderton Borough and president of Souderton-Telford Rotary Club. “We are responding as our community always does – united to show our support for the children who need to know we stand beside them and are here to help them move forward.”
