Borough Council will discuss a  C-2 Limited Commercial and Residential Ordinance|and a revised zoning map the May 3 council meeting at 7:30 p.m.

Due to concerns voiced at the public hearing and comments received by the Montgomery County Planning Commission, map revisions were made to reduce the expanded commercial district area. The amended ordinance and zoning map will be up for formal consideration at the June 7 council meeting.

If adopted, this ordinance will expand Souderton’s commercial district, and will allow more retail shops and businesses to open in the borough. The ordinance was created to be sensitive to current homeowners that live along the proposed expanded commercial district.
