Building/Repair Permits

In the file below, you will find the permit applications are needed for any work being done in Souderton Borough. Please fill out the application and return it to the Souderton Borough office – either reorder:

Make sure that you have drawings attached with the permit application being submitted for approval. No work is to start on jobs until you have an approved permit in hand. Permit placed along with stamped approved drawing shall be placed on site where work is being done.

Construction Dumpsters

For on street request forms for a dumpster may be picked up and dropped off at the Souderton Police Department or e-mailed to: akoch@soudertonpolice.org. *Please allow 5 business days for consideration of your request.

Permanent placement of dumpsters on private property need to follow Chapter 471-2G of 308.4.5. Please fill out a zoning permit application & email to Laura McGuigan. Temporary placement of dumpster/storage container, and pods. U-Haul boxes, sea boxes or other listed in Ordinance 471.2G6. Please fill out & email to Laura McGuigan

Fees for Inspections

PLEASE NOTE: STATE FEE ON PERMITS, WHERE APPLICABLE.
THE STATE HAS INCREASED THEIR FEE FROM $4.00 TO $4.50. Please see the amendment below.

No. 2017-36 Section 703.  Education and training programs.
(a)  Fee.–Municipalities administering and enforcing this act under section 501(a) and third-party agencies providing services under section 501(e) shall assess a fee of [$4] $4.50 on each construction or building permit issued under the authority of this act. The fee shall be in addition to any other fee imposed for the permit.
