Building/Repair Permits
In the files below, you will find directions for each permit and a technical section. Please fill out the technical section and return it to the Souderton Borough office – either:

Make sure that you have drawings attached with all technical sections being submitted for approval. No work is to start on jobs until you have an approved permit in hand.
All Building/Repair Permits are to be sent: “Attention Steve Toy, Code Enforcement Officer”. For questions on what is needed for a permit, please call the Borough office at 215-723-4371.
Construction Dumpsters
Request forms for a dumpster may be picked up and dropped off at the Souderton Police Department or e-mailed to: dfields@soudertonpolice.org. *Please allow 5 business days for consideration of your request.

Fees for Inspections
PLEASE NOTE: STATE FEE ON PERMITS, WHERE APPLICABLE.
THE STATE HAS INCREASED THEIR FEE FROM $4.00 TO $4.50. Please see the amendment below.

No. 2017-36 Section 703. Education and training programs.
(a) Fee.–Municipalities administering and enforcing this act under section 501(a) and third-party agencies providing services under section 501(e) shall assess a fee of [$4] $4.50 on each construction or building permit issued under the authority of this act. The fee shall be in addition to any other fee imposed for the permit.

Pool And Spa Permit
Permits for swimming pools are required for all in ground pools and for above ground pool greater than 24 inches.
