Commercial Business & Residential Rental Properties
Any property within the Borough of Souderton that is non owner occupied must be registered annually with the Borough of Souderton. The annual registration fee is $75.00 plus $37.50 per unit. Invoices for Rental Registrations are mailed in April and be due in May every year. Regulations also require inspections of all rental units to verify compliance with life and safety issues and the Property Maintenance Code. The inspections will occur every other year and are broken down by Main & Washington in with the westside being in 2026. The Eastside in 2027.

Please note: If the property owner doesn’t reside at the property and there are other people residing at the property then it is a Rental Property. Please refer to the Borough ordinance for Rental Properties.

Commercial Businesses
All Commercial Business in the Borough must be registered and inspected. The fee for a CBL is $125 per Business and is to be inspected for life safety items, every two years. The CBL's on the westside of the Borough will be inspected in 2026, Eastside 2027. Any questions in regard to CBL and zoning for CBL. Please contact Laura McGuigan.
All Fire Marshal Inspections are scheduled by Laura. Please contact her for approval.
If you need a Knox Box on site or need to change keys. Please fill out the Knox Box Key change form and email the form to Laura McGuigan lmcguigan@soudertonborough.org. She will contact you with a time for Fire Marshal to come out.
